Northville’s news and lifestyle magazine, The ‘Ville, keeps readers engaged with fun news items regarding everything happening in town. Northville’s Chamber of Commerce helps the businesses in the city grow. It also hosts the community’s biggest events, like the annual Fourth of July celebration and weekly/ seasonal farmers’ markets. There are numerous events and activities held all through the summer, but the most exciting are the Town Square’s Friday night concerts.

The city also hosts unique events such as the Victorian Parade and the  Heritage Festival in September. In November, Northville hosts the Holiday Lighted Parade.

The community center is managed by the Department of Parks and Recreation. It serves both the city and township of Northville. Residents can also go to the Northville District Library to browse books, magazines, digital music, and extensive archives as well.


Northville Schools

Northville is an award-winning school district. It has one senior high school, two middle schools, and six elementary schools. The Northville Public Schools district has a math and reading MEAP score. It runs almost 35% above state averages.

The schools include Amerman Elementary School and Moraine Elementary School.


Northville Neighborhoods

Abbey Knoll:

Abbey Knoll was built between 1986 and 1989. The colonials and Cape Cod-style homes of Abbey Knoll are usually between 2300 and 3400 square feet. This area is located in the Oakland County portion of Northville.

Bella Vista:

Ranging between 5,000 and 9,750 square feet, the homes of Bella Vista were built between 2005 and 2010. The houses are usually half colonials and half Cape Cods.

Brooklane Ridge:

Built between 1998 and 2002, these houses range anywhere between 2750 and 4400 square feet. Brooklane Ridge is located south of Six Mile and East of Sheldon Road. 

The Hills of Crestwood:

The Hills of Crestwood is another quaint neighborhood in Northville. Crestwood Manor has 172 homes constructed between 1990 and 2000. The neighborhood has a mix of colonial, ranch, and Cape Cod homes.
